PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an alarm system which can suppress facility costs and manufacturing and component costs of an alarm receiving device, and increase the number of terminal alarm devices to be identified at low cost without altering hardware, and has less malfunctions. SOLUTION: A terminal alarm device 6 is equipped with an alarm tone generating means which generates an alarm tone composed of tones of a plurality of frequencies common to respective terminal alarm devices 6 when an abnormality detecting means 6a detects abnormality so that at least one of the tones of the plurality of frequencies included in the alarm tone is different in sounding time Ton or muting time Toff by the terminal alarm devices 6, and an alarm receiving device 8 is equipped with a terminal alarm device specifying means of specifying a terminal alarm device 6 which is generating the alarm tone by recognizing the sounding time Ton and muting time Toff or the sum of sounding time and muting time of the tones of the plurality of frequencies included in the alarm tone picked up by a pickup means 8a.
