PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a three-dimensional measuring system for performing a three- dimensional measuring operation without being hardly influenced by a reflectance distribution, a disturbance or the like of an object to be measured and at high speed, to provide a three-dimensional measuring method using the three-dimensional measuring system and to provide a generation device for translating moire fringes using the three-dimensional measuring system. SOLUTION: From a light emitting part 1, beams of light whose intensity is modulated at the same frequency and at different phases are irradiated at a plurality of regions in the object to be measured. In a reference-signal generation part 2, a reference signal whose frequency is identical to the modulation frequency of the beams of light is generated. The beams of light reflected by the object are received by a sensor part 3. A time correlation between the intensity signals of the beams of received light and the reference signal is calculated. On the basis of the time correlation, the projection angles of the beams of light at a certain phase are calculated. A fixed pattern and a rotating pattern are overlapped, the rotating pattern is turned, and the translating parallel moire fringes are obtained. COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO
