PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a resin composition having excellent biodegradability (biodisintegrability) and strength and a molded product of the resin composition. SOLUTION: The resin composition comprises (A) a biodegradable polyester, (B) polysaccharides, (C) a water-soluble vinyl alcohol polymer having 2-19 mol% of ethylene content and 0.02-1 mol% of carboxylic acid content and/or lactone ring content and (D) at least one or more kinds of additives selected from water, a polyalkylene oxide, a polyhydric alcohol and a polyhydric alcohol derivative. The weight ratio (A)/(B) of the components (A) and (B) is (20/80) to (80/20). The weight ratio (C)/[(A)+(B)] of the components (A), (B) and (C) is (5/100) to (20/100).
