SOLID NONHALOGEN FLAME RETARDANT AND FLAME RETARDANT THERMOPLASTIC RESIN COMPOSITION COMPOUNDED WITH THE FLAME RETARDANT

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a solid nonhalogen flame retardant excellent in handling ability, workability and safety in kneading for imparting a flame retardancy to a thermoplastic resin, free from bleed in molded article and imparting an excellent flame retardancy without using an organohalogen compound, and to provide a flame retardant thermoplastic resin composition. SOLUTION: The solid nonhalogen flame retardant is obtained by melt kneading a novolac type phenol resin (A) with≥120°C of a softening point and (B) phosphoric esters and the flame retardant has≥80°C of a softening point and the flame retardant thermoplastic resin composition is obtained by compounding the flame retardant.
