The invention relates to a sectional anvil for hammer forging sectional bars with bevelled balls, employed in making wrought iron gates, fences, balusters and trellis works. According to the invention, the sectional anvil for hammer forging sectional bars with bevelled balls comprises two symmetrical parts: an upper part (1) and a lower part (2) identically and symmetrically profiled with some linear-type channels corresponding to the profile of the bar with bevelled balls to be manufactured. In order to manufacture the sectional bar with bevelled balls by one forging heating and two serial squeezings, each half (1 and 2) of the anvil is profiled with a central semicylindrical channel (3) and (4), respectively, having a length L1+L2 and two channels marginal to the same (5 and 5') and (6 and 6'), respectively of V-shaped cross-section, having a length L, the shape of the profile ends being of the open type, a short portion L3 being provided as an extension of the length L2 of the anvil profile for accomplishing the operation of forge drawing of the square-cross-section ends of the sectional bar up to the preset size "a" of the square cross-section, the anvil profile being confined by two short dabbing portions of the length L0.
|
