PURPOSE: An array substrate for an LCD including TFTs and a method for fabricating the same are provided to prevent the opening of a gate insulating film and the short of gate electrodes or gate wires. CONSTITUTION: An array substrate for an LCD including TFTs includes gate electrodes(116) and gate wires(118) formed in a dual metal layer structure on a first substrate(100), and an active layer(122) and source/drain electrodes(128,130) formed on the gate electrodes. The gate electrodes and the gate wires connected to the gate electrodes are formed on etched grooves(110) by etching the substrate partially. Then, the gate electrodes and the gate wires become almost horizontal with respect to the substrate. |
