PURPOSE: A device for driving an objective lens of an optical pickup is provided to control the tilt between a disc and an optical pickup dynamically for making light to be incident to a disc in a precise direction, thereby improving the quality of the data recording and reproducing. CONSTITUTION: A device for driving an objective lens of an optical pickup includes a holder(20) provided to a base(10), a blade(80) stacking an objective lens(70) and movably supported by the holder by a plurality of wires(90), a focussing unit for driving the objective lens in a focus direction(A), and a tracking unit for driving the objective lens in a tracking direction(B). The focussing unit has first and second magnets(61,62) mounted on the base to face each other, and a focus coil(30) surrounding the first magnet and mounted in the blade, thereby generating lines of electromagnetic force to drive the blade in the focus direction by the interaction between a current of the focus coil and lines of magnetic force of the first and second magnets. The tracking unit has tracking coils(40) attached to a side of the focus coil to be positioned between the first and second magnets, thereby driving the blade in the tracking direction by electromagnetic force generated by the interaction between the current of the tracking coils and the magnetic force of the first and second magnets. A tilt unit has a pair of tilt coils(50) mounted to an outer surface(81) of the second magnet and a third magnet(51) mounted to the base to face the tilt coil, thereby driving the blade in a tilt direction(C) by the electromagnetic force generated by the interaction between the current of the tilt coil and the magnetic force of the third magnet.
