PURPOSE: An ion exchange resin is provided to enhance the efficiency of resources by preventing the soil pollution and the water pollution due to the metal-plating waste water in a plating process. CONSTITUTION: An ion exchange resin includes a metal-plating waste water collection vessel(10), the first and the second ion exchange resin chamber(50,60), a regenerated resin solution vessel(100), an electrolytic tank(120), and a cleaning water vessel(190). The metal-plating waste water collection vessel(10) includes a supply pump(40) for transferring the metal-plating waste water(20) to a supply tube(30) and a water level control sensor(L1,L2). The first and the second ion exchange resin chamber(50,60) are connected to the metal-plating waste water collection vessel(10). A plurality of ion exchange resins are installed in the first and the second ion exchange resin chamber(50,60), respectively. A plurality of solenoid valves are installed at the first and the second supply tube(31,32). The regenerated resin solution vessel(100) is connected to the first and the second ion exchange resin chamber(50,60) through the first supply tube(31). The electrolytic tank(120) is connected to the second supply tube(32). An electrolyte and a terminal plate are installed in the electrolytic tank(120). A heater(160) is installed at an upper side of the electrolytic tank(120). The cleaning water vessel(190) is connected to a cation exchange resin chamber(170) by means of the first and the second ion exchange resin chamber(50,60).
