PURPOSE: An optical disc and a method for recording/reproducing of the optical disc are provided to avoid data recording in a defect area by informing the ending of the recording in front of the defect area with recording ending data, and link the previously recorded area to an area, thereby achieving the stable recording and reproducing of data. CONSTITUTION: An optical disc includes a recording ending area(14) recorded with a data for representing the end of data recording in front of a defect area(16). The recording ending area is formed of the length and the pattern equal to a guard3(20). In the recording ending area, the power of a light source is controlled to be decreased to a reproducing power lower than a recording power to prevent the recording.
