<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical information recording medium having high durability against reproduction light even in recording and reproduction by an optical system having short wavelength and a high numerical aperture of a lens and satisfactory signal quality, to provide a method for manufacturing the same and to provide a method for recording and reproducing the same. <P>SOLUTION: In the optical information recording medium, at least one information layer (12) is provided. The information layer includes a first protective film (14), a first interface film (15), a recording film (16) whose optical characteristics are reversibly changed by laser beam irradiation, a second interface film (17), a second protective film (18) and a reflection film (19) in this order from the laser beam incident side. The first interface film (15) contains an oxide of at least one element selected from Ti, Zr, Hf, V, Nb, Ta, Cr, Mo, W and Si and the second interface film (17) contains carbon or a carbide of at least one element selected from Ti, Zr, Hf, V, Nb, Ta, Cr, Mo, W, and Si. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO |
