<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a color image display device which permits erasure of writing by ink-jet recording. <P>SOLUTION: The image display device is provided with recording means having an ink delivery section for delivering a treating liquid containing a cationic substance and an ink discharge section for delivering a specific color and means for erasing the image recorded on a recording medium, in which an ethylene-methyl methacrylate copolymer is used as the recording medium.
