<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To generate a summarized sentence consisting of the arbitrary number of words selected by matching the contents of a text with easily-readable sentences. <P>SOLUTION: Each sentence in a text is divided into words by a word dividing part 1, and nouns are provided to those respective words. Then, the words with nouns are provided with significance corresponding to the words or nouns by a significance providing part 2. A partial word column is generated for the words in the text provided with the significance by a partial word column generating part 3. Then, the N pieces of continuous words included in the partial word column are provided with N gram probability by an N gram probability providing part 4 to generate a partial word column. Then, summarized sentence probability is calculated for the partial word column by a summarized sentence probability calculating part 6 to obtain the partial word column provided with the summarized sentence probability. Thus, the sentence whose summarized sentence probability is the highest is outputted as a summarized sentence by a summarized sentence outputting part 7 for the plurality of partial word columns obtained as mentioned above. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO |
