<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of reinforcing the leading part of an optical fiber drawn from an optical fiber sheet. <P>SOLUTION: In the optical fiber sheet 10 having optical fibers 20 arranged as interposed between a substrate 11 and a cover sheet 12, the leading part of the optical fibers 21 to be drawn out of the optical fiber sheet 10 is covered with a flame-retardant protective tube 30. The protective tube 30 is integrated with the optical fiber sheet 10 by applying an adhesive layer and is held by the sheet 12 in≥10 mm length. Further, a protective material 40 to protect the boundary of the leading part of the optical fiber 20 is adhered to the part where the optical fibers 20 are stacked. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO</p> |
