PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To ensure security of data to be provided to application in an electronic device. SOLUTION: An IP server W transmits an email to a mobile station MS. The email includes a start-up command tag for instructing JAVA application to start up, and a delivery command tag for providing data. The mobile station MS compares a sender's address of the email with permission information described in an ADF of the Java application instructed by the email. The permission information indicates a sender's address of an email permitting start-up of the Java application or data provision to the Java application. The mobile station MS starts up the Java application according to the start-up command tag described in the email only when a comparison result indicates that the addresses are matched, and provides the data specified by the delivery command tag to the Java application.
