PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a camera with a camera shake detecting function realizing, with a more accurate and simpler constitution than in the conventional manner at low cost, a camera shake detecting function with which a clear picture hardly influenced by camera shake is taken by holding the camera while viewing check display that the camera shake is detected and even when a user who does not pay attention to the camera shake uses the camera. SOLUTION: A camera with the camera shake detecting function 10 is equipped with: an LCD 6 including an LCD 6a provided within a finder and displaying information concerning picture taking; and a vibration detecting means (light receiving lens 5d and sensor array 5c or the like) suggesting the occurrence of the camera shake of a camera main body 10A by concurrently using a monolithic accelerometer (acceleration IC) 3 in addition to a range-finding sensor (AF part 5a) functioning as a camera shake deciding means. The transmissivity of the display area of the LCD 6a within the finder is changed in terms of pattern so that the user can easily recognize the occurrence of the camera shake. When a CPU 1 compares subject image data outputted from an AF part 5a at specified time intervals and detects the camera shake according to the image deviation of the subject image data, the use range of the subject image data is made different from the range at the time of range-finding.
