PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To construct a building by effectively installing a bearing wall arranging a necessary amount of reinforcing bars in the vertical and horizontal directions of a block manufactured as a main material of a shirasu concrete making use of shirasu jetted from a volcano in every area. SOLUTION: A special chemical admixture is mixed with a cement to operate chemical action with a water soluble silicic acid to make the shirasu concrete with high intensity. The constitution of the bearing wall molds a hollow type block as shown in Fig. 1, the reinforcing bars with a required diameter are arranged to both ends of the block, a hollow part is filled with the shirasu concrete to constitute a monolithic bearing wall.
