PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus for sharing data among a plurality of processes generated by a plurality of different image forming applications. SOLUTION: The image forming apparatus maps a memory for an application process of performing an image forming process and a control service process of controlling a hardware resource used in the image forming process. The image forming apparatus includes a region acquiring means for acquiring a direct map region that can be directly mapped on the memory by the process, and a direct map means for using a physical address indicating a predetermined area in the direct map region specified by the process to directly mapping from a virtual memory region of the process to the predetermined area.
