PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lens extension device for macrophotography which can switch the mode between an ordinary photography mode and a macrophotography mode and which is small in the number of components and is compact and improves the operability by reducing the manipulated variable of rotational movement during the switching operation of the photography mode. SOLUTION: The lens extension device for macrophotography comprises a holder 10 into which a CCD, etc., are built, an elastic body 20 which prevents shaking, an extension ring 30, a lens barrel 40 which contains a lens group, and an operating control 50. The switching of the photographing mode is performed by rotationally moving the extension ring 30 integrally with the operating control 50, by which multithread internal threads 12 of the holder 10 and multithread external threads 32 of the extension ring 30 are screwed to each other and the extension ring 30 is thereby advanced and retreated in an optical axis direction. The focus adjustment of the lens barrel 40 is performed by internal threads 33 of the extension ring 30 and external threads 42 for the focus adjustment of the lens barrel 40. COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO
