PURPOSE: A method for measuring a main battery current of an electric vehicle is provided to stably and accurately measure a state of a main battery with offset compensation of a current sensor. CONSTITUTION: It is judged whether a system is enabled(S100). If so, offset values are periodically measured for a dead time that a connector becomes enable, and the measured offset values are integrated(S110). It is judged whether a set time has passed to terminate the offset measurement(S120-S130). Otherwise, the offset measurements are repeatedly integrated(S140-S150). If so, the mean value of the integrated offset values is extracted(S160). The extracted mean value is set up as an offset value of a current sensor(S170). A flag of the offset value is set as '1'(S180). The set offset value is applied to a current value of the current sensor detected as a compensation value in a state that all parts of the system are working, so that the current value is extracted(S190).
