PURPOSE: An image projection apparatus is provided to efficiently use light in a single panel by utilizing two dichroic mirrors. CONSTITUTION: An image projection apparatus(200) includes a light source(210), a collimating lens section(220), a first dichroic mirror wheel(230), a second dichroic mirror wheel(240), first to third surface light source sections(250a,250b,250c), first to third panel sections(260a,260b,260c), and first to third projection lens sections(270a,270b,270c). The light source(210) radiates white light including plural monochromatic light having different wavelengths. The collimating lens section(220) is used to collect laser beam radiated from the light source(210). The collimating lens section(220) includes two collimating lenses. Laser beam radiated from the collimating lens section(220) is focused on the first dichroic mirror wheel(230).
