<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a microlens array having no deformation due to the curing of an optical resin and to provide a method of manufacturing the same. <P>SOLUTION: The microlens array includes a first optical medium layer 1 disposed on one face side having a plurality of two-dimensionally arranged lens faces R as an interface, and a second optical medium layer 2 disposed on the other face side and having a refractive index different from that of the first optical medium layer 1. The array has also a cover glass 3 having ≤30 μm thickness joined to the other face of the lens face R with a specified gap interposed. The first optical medium layer 1 consists of a transparent resin solid and has the lens face R formed on the surface. The second optical medium layer 2 consists of a transparent fluid and fills the gap to relax a stress generated between the first optical medium layer 1 and the cover glass 3. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO |
