PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To restrain occurrence of point defects. SOLUTION: Thickness of a hole transport layer 52 is above 150 nm, preferably above 170 nm. Thereby, even when dust is entrapped at the time of forming the organic emitter layer 54, and part of the negative electrode is on surface of the hole transport layer 52, dielectric breakdown of the hole transport layer 52 is prevented and occurrence of point defects can be restrained.
