PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable stable and accurate reading of the pit of an optical disc, by bringing the vibration and noise caused by the drive circuit of a spindle motor under control, in a disc device which rotates the optical disc by a turn table fixed to the spindle of a spindle motor. SOLUTION: In the disc device, which is so arranged as to rotate the optical disc D by the turntable 7 fixed to the tip of the spindle 6 of the spindle motor 5, a permanent magnet 25 is fixed to the spindle 6 exposed from the spindle motor body so as to give the spindle thrust load by the permanent magnet.
