PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To take out a high-response servo signal without moving an objective lens in an autofocus detection mechanism using light. SOLUTION: A pinhole plate arranged in a position conjugate to a focus position is vibrated in an optical-axis direction, and a defocus amount is read out from a position in which a quantity of light passing a pinhole becomes a peak.
