PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To dynamic pressure bearing device capable of increasing rigidity of a radial dynamic pressure bearing by increasing an axial span for forming the radial dynamic pressure bearing, and increasing bond strength by increasing a bond area between a dynamic pressure bearing member and a cover closing one end opening of the dynamic pressure bearing member, and to provide a manufacturing method therefor. SOLUTION: One end face of the dynamic pressure bearing member 14 bored with a rotary shaft insertion hole is formed with an axially recessed recess part 44 continuing in the circumferential direction around an opening part, the peripheral edge of the cover 22 is formed with a bent edge part 221 axially bent and extending inside the recess part 44, the recess part 44 is filled with an adhesive 46, the bent edge part 221 of the cover 22 is joined to the dynamic pressure bearing member 14 with the adhesive 46 inside the recess part 44, and one end part of the bearing member 14 is closed by the cover 22.
