PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a revolving body for construction equipment, which is excellent in design while maintaining a suitable contour of a counterweight, required depending on the function of the construction equipment. SOLUTION: The revolving body 4 is formed of a driving cab 10, the counterweight 20, an openable door 22 arranged between the driving cab and the counterweight, a protruding portion 24 formed in one body with the counterweight 20 in a manner protruding upward from the door 22, and a cover member 32 arranged over the door 22. According to the revolving body 4 thus formed, the cover member 32 is extended from the protruding member 24 in a longitudinal direction, and defines a side portion of an engine room 18 in cooperation with the door 22. In this manner, the mass and contour of the counterweight 20 are set as appropriate without extremely extending the length of the protruding portion 24. COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO
