1,144,630. Transportable spreader for pulverulent material. MUSTADFORS BRUKS A.B. 13 Feb., 1968 [17 Feb., 1967], No. 7102/68. Heading A1D. A transportable spreader for pulverulent material consists of a wheeled hopper 1 with an opening 12 at its bottom, a feeding mechanism 6 and a spreader disc 37 rotating about a vertical axis below the opening. The feeding mechanism consists of a paddle-wheel shaped device 9 mounted on a transverse shaft 7 just above the opening 12 and feeding screws 11, one right and one left handed arranged on either side of the paddle-wheel 9. Walls 13 prevent material being fed directly to the opening and a pivotable guard 53 protects the paddle-wheel from the bulk of the material. The paddle-wheel 9 is driven by the hopper wheels through the belt transmission 14 and pushing rod 21 attached to the transverse shaft 7. The material is fed from opening 12 through the mouth of funnel 32, mounted below the opening but with its mouth eccentrically located with respect to the upper circular edge 35, to the rotor disc 37. The rotor disc 37 is mounted eccentrically below the funnel mouth 36 and driven by the motor 40 via belt transmission 39. |
