<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a merchandise information providing system capable of providing the optimal solution to a customer by reducing the load of the information providing side, and capturing and analyzing customer needs. <P>SOLUTION: This merchandise information providing system capable of providing merchandise information by capturing customer needs via a network is configured to successively calculate the probability distribution of a plurality of processes until a customer is able to come up with solutions, and to apply weight to give a process which is highly likely to be used by the customer priority, so that it is possible to provide necessary solutions in early stages.
