PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make an efficient write/read operation and the responsiveness for a disk compatible with each other. SOLUTION: When the information temporarily stored in a cash memory is written to a recording medium (disk) and/or the information read from the disk is stored into the cash memory, it is made so that disk writing about the information stored in the cash memory or disk reading of the information to be stored in the cash memory is directed with the minimum data length and period capable of continuous write/read of the information to the disk and, in accordance with the direction, the execution of the write/read operation of the information to the disk is controlled. Thereby, the disk writing/disk reading are made possible to be performed as a continuous operation which continues in accordance with plural times of directions, that is, such an operation that the write/read trace to a track of the disk is not interrupted by the track access.
