PURPOSE: A color cathode ray tube is provided to remove an operation for controlling a variable resistor and enhance the productivity by using an additional correction circuit to correct the amount of mis-convergence. CONSTITUTION: A color cathode ray tube includes an electron gun, a screen, a shadow mask, and a deflection yoke. The electron gun is used for emitting electron beams of three colors. The electron beams collide with the screen. The shadow mask is used for separating the colors of the electron beams. The deflection yoke includes horizontal coils and vertical coils(310,320) in order to deflect the emitted electron beams. A correction circuit is installed at the deflection yoke in order to rectify the deflection current by using a diode. In the correction circuit, a resistor(R6) is connected in parallel to one of both terminals of a variable resistor(VR) and a center terminal of the variable resistor(VR).
