PURPOSE: A shelf for a refrigerator is provided to maximize efficiency of using a space in the refrigerator by allowing the shelf of the refrigerator to be selectively folded or unfolded. CONSTITUTION: Telescope type side frames(62) are placed on both sides of a shelf(60) to be drawn out by telescope method. The telescope type side frame comprises a plurality of part frames(62a,62b,62c,62d) drawn out by telescope method. The part frames are formed to be inserted into the part frames behind or unfolded to front side in a refrigerator compartment. The part frames are connected by connecting frames(64a,64b,64c,64d) in horizontal direction, respectively to be simultaneously folded or unfolded. The connecting frames connect side frames placed on both sides thereof to allow food to be put thereon. The shelf is pushed back to allow an object with height longer than an interval between the shelf and a lower shelf to be stored in the refrigerator. The part frames are pulled to the front side to be unfolded so that food is put on the shelf.
