SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR DISPLAYING MAP

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a system for displaying a map, which improves the visibility of a displayed object in the case of carrying out a three-dimensional display. SOLUTION: In the system, a map data acquiring section 11 acquires map data that is an object to be displayed for a navigation, and a display state predicting section 12 inputs the map data acquired by the map data acquiring section 11 and predicts a display state of the object to be displayed based on the map data. A display form determining section 13 determines whether the display state predicted by the display state predicting section 12 meets a criteria or not thereby deciding as to whether a given display form should be corrected or not. In addition, the display form determining section 13 corrects the given display form and determines an actual display form in the case such a decision is made that the correction should be carried out. A display image forming section 14 forms a display image for carrying out a three-dimensional map display from the map data acquired by the map data acquiring section 11 in accordance with each display form determined by the display form determining section 13.
