PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a member and a method for mounting a grating easily installable and hard for water to enter a building, and a sash. SOLUTION: The mounting member 1 for the grating fixedly connects the grating 3 to a sash frame 2. The mounting frame 1 comprises a body 11 formed of a generally plate-like long body, a grating fixing part 17 continuously formed on one side of the body 11 along a longitudinal direction and fixing the grating 3, and a branch part 14 branched from the body 11 toward the opposite side of the grating fixing part 17. The opposite side 12 of the grating fixing part 17 of the body 11 and the free end part 16 of the branch part 14 are positioned between a pair of engagement pieces 24 and 25 formed along the sides of the sash frame 2, and assembled engagedly with the pair of engagement pieces 24 and 25.
