PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To efficiently read a disk. SOLUTION: When information to be read from the disk are temporarily stored in a cache memory in response to a plurality of times of reading requests to the cache memory, separated situations in the disk among the plurality of pieces of information to be read from the disk in response to the requests are detected. For example, whether a difference between addresses in the disk is not more than a prescribed value or not is detected. When the plurality of pieces of information are physically separated a little, reading is performed from the disk by one continuous reading trace including unnecessary data in the separated part. That is, the plurality of necessary pieces of information are read as an operation by which the reading trace with respect to the track of a disk recording medium is not interrupted by track access.
