PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image-forming device which can shorten the memory clearing time, regardless of the number of volatile memories. SOLUTION: In the image-forming device, having a nonvolatile memory 2 which stores a program for device control, a CPU 1 which controls a device based on the program stored in the nonvolatile memory 2 and the volatile memory 3 which temporarily stores data, when the CPU 1 performs data processing, a DMA controller 12 which executes memory clearing processing for the volatile memory 3 is incorporated in the CPU 1.
