PURPOSE: Provided is anion-substituted nano-sized lithium manganese oxide powder for a cathode of a lithium ion secondary battery having small capacity-reduction and long lifetime. CONSTITUTION: The lithium manganese oxide powder is produced by a process comprising the steps of: mixing lithium material powder, manganese material powder, and an anion-contained compound; and reacting the mixture by a mechanochemical process. The lithium material powder is one selected from the group consisting of Li2O, LiCO3, LiNO3, Li3N, LiF, LiS, LiI, or a lithium compound. The manganese material powder is one selected from the group consisting of Mn, gamma-MnO2, alpha-MnO2, beta-MnO2, Mn2O3, Mn3O4, or a manganese compound. And the anion-contained compound is one selected from S, F, I, or N. |
