<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus free from the occurrence of a defective image in the case a photoreceptor drum is ground by a grinding roller. <P>SOLUTION: The image forming apparatus is provided with the a-Si photoreceptor drum 1, a developing means 4 for forming a toner image with abrasive toner, and a grinding means having an elastic roller 6 arranged adjacent to the surface of the a-Si photoreceptor drum 1, and also, the apparatus is provided with a means for rotating the elastic roller 6 in press contact with the surface of the photoreceptor drum 1, and the elastic roller 6 is brought into press contact with the a-Si photoreceptor drum 1 only at the grinding operation. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO |
