<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a torque controller capable of operating a motor for driving a load element having a periodic variation in the load torque with low vibration. <P>SOLUTION: The torque controller comprises a motor for driving a load element having a periodic variation of load torque, an inverter for driving the motor, a means for detecting a current flowing through the motor and determining the excitation current component, i.e., the d-axis current, and the torque current component, i.e., the q-axis current, a means for detecting the rotor position of the motor utilizing the fact that a variation in the q-axis current has a periodicity resulting from a variation in the load torque, and a means performing torque control by varying the d-axis current periodically using rotor position information. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO |
