PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily make an image recording area to a recording medium parallel to the recording medium. SOLUTION: The exposure part 18 of a printing plate automatic exposure device positions a printing plate 12 at a rotating drum 50 and winds the printing plate 12 around the rotating drum 50 by fitting notch holes 70 to a notch pin 98 while the printing plate 12 is struck to a positioning pin 52A or a positioning pin 52B. In recording an image on the printing plate 12, since a recording head is moved parallelly to the axial direction of the rotating drum 50 while rotating the rotating drum 50 in a circumferential direction, the recording head is spirally and relatively moved with respect to the rotating drum 50. In this case, a punch part adjusts the formation depth of the notch hole 70, and the positioning angle of the printing plate 12 is thereby adjusted with respect to the rotating drum 50 to make the printing plate 12 wound around the rotating drum 50 parallel with the relatively moving direction of the recording head with respect to the rotating drum 50.
