PROCESS FOR REFINING HIGH MOLECULAR HYALURONIC ACID

PURPOSE: Provided is a process for refining high molecular hyaluronic acid from a natural hyaluronic acid mixture containing protein and hyaluronic acid, which can increase a yield of the high molecular hyaluronic acid by inducing low molecular hyaluronic acid to make high molecular hyaluronic acid. CONSTITUTION: The process for refining the high molecular hyaluronic acid contains the steps of: hydrolyzing the protein of the hyaluronic acid mixture and performing a high speed centrifugation using a water salt solution(1) as a medium to separate the hyaluronic acid from the hydrolyzed protein, wherein the density(ρ1) of the water salt solution(1) is more than the density(ρL) of the high molecular hyaluronic acid and the density(ρS) of the low molecular hyaluronic acid, and is lower than the density(ρP) of the hydrolyzed protein; performing the high speed centrifugation using a water salt solution(2) as a medium to separate the high molecular hyaluronic acid and the low molecular hyaluronic acid from the separated hyaluronic acid, wherein the density(ρ2) of the water salt solution(2) is more than the density(ρL) of the high molecular hyaluronic acid and is lower than the density(ρS) of the low molecular hyaluronic acid.
