The compact disc support surface (P) stands nearly vertical, with a series of projecting pegs (1,2,3) mounted in groups. These provide receptacles (R1 - R6) for compact discs, inclined slightly back beyond the vertical so that they remain on the support. The compact disc support comprises a support surface (P) which stands nearly vertical, with a support structure (S,T) behind it, mounted on a base plate. The surfaces has a series of projecting pegs (1,2,3) mounted in groups to provide a series of receptacles (R1 - R6) for compact discs. Each receptacle includes at least three pegs, two of which support the bottom edge of a compact disc whilst the third provides a left or right support providing alignment. At least one of the pegs - preferably the left or right hand supporting peg (3) - has a stop (B) which extends in front of the CDs to prevent them tipping forwards off the receptacle defined by the group of pegs. The pegs are inclined at angle to the horizontal, so that under gravity the CDs lean back against the support surface.
