The method involves giving a measure of a driving torque (Mmot) requested by the driver via at least one pedal position. The driving torque of the vehicle is increased independent of the measure requested from the driver. The increasing of the driving torque is carried out during the start of the driving process when the desire of the driver to drive is recognized and there is a necessity of support. An Independent claim is also provided for an arrangement for influencing the driving torque of a motor vehicle.
