SUBSTANCE: reversing-motor speed control device has armature winding shorted out by electric circuit set up of series-connected resistor and one of motor field windings. Operating stability of motor running at desired speed is enhanced due to increasing flatness of its mechanical characteristics, extending below-rated speed control range, and reducing power of shorting-out resistor.
