A miter saw (10) includes a tool adjustment unit having a joint (48) pivotab le about an axis (A-A), a guide rail (40) spaced from and coupled to the joint (48) so as to pivot about the axis (A-A), a saw housing (38) mounted on the guide rail (40) and a linear motion bearing assembly (44), which is position ed between the guide rail (40) and the saw housing (38). The guide rail (40) an d the linear motion bearing (44) are so shaped and dimensioned that the saw housing (38) and the guide rail (40) rotationally engage one another in a substantially play free manner to displace a saw blade (18) between a plurality of angled positions. |
