An acrylic plastic container having the purpose to weigh and measure small fish fry for enumeration and study purposes. It is known that the container is so shaped that an active fish fry can be deposited into the container from a small dip net without touching the fish by hand and prevent dropping them outside the container and harming them in any way. In this invention the container or box as we call it is filled with water up to a given level that is sufficient so that the fry or fish can respirate long enough to survive while the process of weighing and measuring can be done. In this invention the container is transparent so the identification of species can be established and an accurate length can be obtained with a measuring ruler witch is affixed to both sides of the bottom of the box. One side the ruler starts at O on on e end of the box and on the other side the O starts from the other end so no matter what end the fish is pointing an accurate length can be obtained. In this invention the box is so shaped in the bottom section as to be narrow enough to prevent the sample fish from turning and thus keeping them at one end or the other to accurately gage there length. |
