Disclosed are novel pyrazole derivatives which are free of phytotoxicity to corn and can control a broad range of cropland weeds at a low dosage and herbicides containing them, and the present invention provides pyrazole derivatives of the general formula (I), or salts thereof, wherein Q is H, -SO2-R<1>, -CO-R<1 >or -CH2CO-R<1>, in which R<1 >is a C1-C8 alkyl group, a C3-C8 cycloalkyl group, a C1-C8 haloalkyl group or a phenyl group which may have a specific substituent, and herbicides containing these pyrazole derivatives or salts thereof as active ingredients.
