The sprinkler installation has a pipeline network (2,3,4,5) coupled to a reduced pressure generator installed at the alarm valve station (6) provided with a system drainage valve (7), allowing a reduced pressure to be provided in the system upon opening of the pipeline network for sprinkler replacement or repair. The reduced pressure generator can be provided by a pump (12), coupled via a line (14) with the alarm valve station and operated continuously during the opening of the pipeline network.
