A rear view system for a motor vehicle mounted on the rear of the vehicle has a first housing, a reflector and a second housing. A first reflector, through which the light from objects behind the vehicle is passing, is mounted on the inlet of the first housing and diminishes the image of the objects. The reflector disposed between the first housing and the second housing, changes the direction of the light. The second housing has a second refractor on its outlet, which directs the light towards the rear view mirror over the driver's mirror over the driver's seat, whereby providing a wider field of a rear view to the observer. |
