<p>An adapter (200) for a forklift is used to transport out-of-gage loads. The adapter includes a frame (210, 220, 230), first and second arms (240, 250) extending from and supported by the frame, and first and second adapter forks (246, 256). The frame is adapted to be coupled with a forklift (F) having two forks (F1, F2), which are separated by a first distance (D1). The first adapter fork extends from and is supported by the first arm. The second adapter fork extends from and is supported by the second arm. The first and second adapter forks are separated by a second distance (D2), which is different than the first distance.</p> |
