FIELD: mechanical engineering; internal combustion engines. SUBSTANCE: proposed engine 10 contains shaft 16 of valve, housing 12 with cylinder 14 with first and second inlets 18, 22 and first and second outlets 20, 24, for liquid medium. Shaft 16 has slots 26, 28, 90 and 92. In first position of shaft 16 liquid medium flow between first inlet 18 and first outlet 20 is cut off, and between second inlet 22 and second outlet 24 is provided. In second position of shaft 16 liquid medium flow between first inlet 18 and first outlet 20 is provided and between second inlet 22 and second outlet 24 is cut off. Valve is connected to drive cylinder 48 provided with piston 54 and coupled with first outlet 20 and second inlet 22 for liquid medium. Device 42 is provided to set shaft 16 in rotation. When liquid medium pressure rises, stroke of piston 52 increases, and speed of rotation of shaft 16 remains constant.
